Kudos! Gilas Pilipinas!

I'm a fan of Philippine Basketball but i'm not an expert. I will try my best to explain what i have in mind regarding the performances of these guys during the recent FIBA Asia 2013 held at MOA Arena.

Jayson Castro - I adore this man.  He is the only one who is not scared and intimidated to challenge the big guys in the center to get an inside shot which is what Gilas needed so i tweeted Coach Chot that i hope he keeps Castro in the team for Spain next year.

LA Tenorio - I have a big respect on him especially when he won the MVP award from last years Jones Cup held in Taipei. But since LA is the shortest man in the team, I doubt if he will be much of a help in this coming FIBA World Cup Championship. Gilas needs more taller but consistent shooters in the team.

Jimmy Alapag - I was wowed by Jimmy's performance especially when they played against the taller and younger Koreans where they beat the latter. At the age of 35, he is still quick and yes, good thing he can still shoot 3s!

Marc Pingris - OMG! Pingris is indeed a perfect addition to the team. The best rebounder ever. If you watch the replay of the games, he is the only one who puts too much effort in rebounding and doing some follow up shots. I can the see the determination that he really wants to WIN. He should be in the team for Spain!

Jeff Chan - This guy can be possessed at times when it comes to pouring in some 3 pt shots. Unfortunately, during the play versus Iran, he seemed got intimidated and can hardly shoot the ball.

Gary David - Gary has some lucky plays but not all the time sad to say. I think he can play well in defense and also can pour in some hot hot 3 pt shots but Gilas needs more aggressive, taller and consistent shooters. When i say consistent means he can make big shots in every game.

Larry Fonacier - Sometimes he looks bored while playing hehe. But i never underestimated him at all coz there are times especially during the play against Taipei, he can really help the team scored.

Gabe Norwood - I love Gabe. I think he is one of the best point guard in PBA but he really needs to step up. Plus he has long arms and can make some big stops/blocks. He just need to practice more his shootings skills.

Japeth Aguilar - Finally, someone who can dunk! But still need to practice more in shooting. My eyes hurts when i watched their game versus Iran, He's having hard time getting some points especially when he tried 3 pt shooting, too much out of bounds. His FT is good though.

Ranidel De Ocampo - Another guy who needs to step up and be more aggressive. Put that height in more use. It's good to see he is making some 3 pt shots. One of the heroes during the game against South Korea. Unfortunately, he seemed got intimidated by the taller Iranians. Unlike the smaller Castro who is not scared of slamming the ball in front of the 4 giants and even fouled the Iranian player.

Junemar Fajardo - The likes of him with the height of almost 7ft is what the team needed but obviously, he still need more experience and training especially in defense. Learn how to defend without getting foul all the time or else he will be eaten alive in the court :P

Marcus Douthit - I love Marcus! Unfortunately he wasn't able to play in the Finals against Iran because of his injury. It could make a big difference i think if he is there defending the giant Hadadi. Although honestly, i am not much impress with his shooting, he can be lazy at times. I'm sorry to say but I think it's time to replace him? Aw sorry Marcus but if the Philippines wants to at least give some tough play against the taller opponents, we need a more aggressive center.

KFC Delivery: Garden Salad

The Picture looks tempting right? With the price of P45 i know i shouldn't expect much but when i got my order today dispatched by SM Bicutan branch, look i what i got???

Lettuce + 2 slices of Tomatoes + the Caesar dressings. I don't have a choice but to eat though i was so disappointed to the maximum level. It doesn't look like a Garden Salad to me. They should just change the name to Lettuce Salad not to confuse their customer.

Best Cure For Mouth Ulcer

Few days ago, i was eating and i accidentally bit my mouth 3 times. It swells and after a day or two, i noticed the cut became a hole and started to look like a mouth ulcer. It's very painful especially when i eat meals. Even when i brush my teeth, i have to hold my mouth away from the toothbrush and even the toothpaste hurts when it touches the wound. I tried putting baking soda and endure the pain which made me teary eyed at times. I did tried this home remedy many times before but this time, it doesn't seem making a positive effect. I think during the 4th day, when i woke up in the morning, i panicked to see that the hole seemed getting bigger. I have no plans of going to the doctor coz i've had mouth ulcers before and it healed after few days. My brother suggested that i put Calamansi on it which i did but i read on the net that it can worsen the wound. So i decided to just buy this Pyralvex. As fas as i could remember, i already used it before and it was very effective. Within 24 hours, you can feel the difference after putting the medicine on the wound. You can feel a little pain and it's very bearable. You need to apply it to the infected area 3-4 times a day. It's my 2nd day today after applying the medicine but i can already eat without feeling the pain on my mouth. I also noticed that the swell minimizes by 50%. I'm happy with Pyralvex.

Korean Drama Review: Can You Hear My Heart

This Korean Drama has a total of 30 Episodes. I'm not finish watching it yet. I'm not even half-way but i think this is the first Drama i'd watch that i learned to skip some parts. First of all, I am disappointed with some cast like the guy who played Joon Ha. Bong Ma Roo, when he was still a kid is a good looking guy. It was kinda suspense that the grown up Bong Ma Roo wasn't showed right away and then when he was, all i do was SIGH and SMH. 2nd reason, the story is draggy. Every minute, every scene they all keep talking/thinking about the lost boy Bong Ma Roo, it starts to hurt my ears. 3rd, the girl who played Bong Woo Ri seemed over acting in some scenes. Usually, i get impressed how the Korean Actors & Actresses acted so naturally but in this series, i'm somehow disappointed. Also, most of the time, when i started to watch the series, i can't stop myself to the point that i slept late at night, at 3am to be exact. Well, i will soon watch Episode 12 but i'm not really too motivated or inspired to watch it right away so i have time to do other things like blogging and surfing the net hehe.

[Korean Series] Faith

This series makes me yawn watching the first few episodes but i never dared to skip any part. Some scenes can be annoying and draggy but i don't wanna sleep because i wanna keep watching it. I can't remember how many times i cried while watching the whole series but i am very happy how the story ends. I was a bit sad thinking it will be another tragic love story which reminds me of Queen Seon Deok Series. Also the soundtrack Carry On by Ali suits very well to this series. It might be my fave song for the whole month. I won't get tired listening to it over and over. It gave me mixed emotions, being sad and happy at the same time.

Philippine Political Dynasties

I will state an example;

There are 2 Cayetano's in the Senate. The brother and sister Pia and Allan Peter. Then Allan Peter's wife, Laarni is the current Mayor of Taguig and again, running for her 2nd term this May 2013. The younger Cayetano, Lino is running for Congressman. And there's another one who is a Councilor. OH MY! Politics here is like a Family Business already. What are these people thinking?

I will not single out the Cayetano's because i know they are not the only ones doing it. There's also the Arroyo clan and so forth.

Just wanna SHAKE MY HEAD on this...
I'm wondering if this is happening in other countries also.

Super Mega Hot!

Everyone's aware that the Earth seems kinda not in its usual self anymore. Well, that's what i feel right now and during the past few years. But when i looked back 10 years ago, i can surely tell the difference when i talk about the comfort of my own bedroom. During summer, i have to endure the excruciating pain of the heat even during night time. I know that one reason why this is happening is because of these metal roofing used mostly in the houses. These metals seems duplicating the radiation comes from the sun and creates an oven-like environment. If you don't have aircon inside your house then you will feel like you are being toasted all day long.

I wonder what will gonna happen in the next 10 years. If today 2013, living inside your house won't give you the best comfort life could give, how much more in the next few years? Everything is increasing especially the prices but the salaries are still the same. So if you are one of those unfortunate who can't afford to buy an aircon or pay the electric bills, oh my, i am telling you, living on earth is definitely not something you can really look forward to. But what if like me, i haven't even reach the golden years yet and to think i will have to suffer like this every year? Hmnn just to think of that gives me headache.

One thing i'm very sure of? When i die, i'd rather stay in the astral world for thousand years. Earth is not too appealing to me anymore.
